Cop killed, 15 injured in Kokernag mishaps | KNO

Srinagar, April 23 (KNO) : A policeman, working as a driver in police department was killed while as fifteen others including a Central Reserved Force Personnel (CRPF) men were injured in two separate road accidents in Kokernag belt of Anantnag district. Reports reaching to KNO said that in Zalangam area, a speedy vehicle carrying the poll staff turned turtle, resulted in injuries to all those who were in the vehicle. Among them driver of the vehicle and two CRPF men were critically injured, however driver succumbed on way to hospital, they said. The driver has been identified as Hilal Ahmad from Tral area of Pulwama and is said to be government employee. In another accident, another vehicle came under stone pelting by youth near Sagam Kokernag in which several employees were injured. A police confirmed that a government employee (Police man) was killed in accident and many others were injured whose condition is said to be stable.(KNO)
